Great performance of mostly standard songs. Lurker II: Dark Son of Night actually tops the somewhat boring album version. Shirt is fantastic, and maybe my favorite version of the song. This show was part of an alt. rock fest for the bay area station Live 105; it's odd hearing the huge amount of people at the show. When Blake talks in between songs, he's limited to one sentence smart-ass comments that almost sound like typical rock star banter. Blake also tells the audience to stay tuned for Sonic Youth after the band finishes the set.

The quality is great, although my dub suffers from one flaw: the recording runs about 6% too slow and the tunes are subsequently a half step too low (that is, unless I'm being woefully ignorant and the band decided to detune for this one show). Apart from the tape speed issue, the instruments and vocals are all balanced perfectly. The guitar sounds especially thick.
